With many exciting new developments coming up in Sedgeberrow, Little Kineton, Aldridge and Loxley (to name a few) we are looking for reliable, honest and enthusiastic individuals who are looking to start an exciting new career in construction. Our sites are a fantastic place to work where you will be part of a team of construction staff with an important role to play in building our homes to a very high standard.

The new apprentices will be joining a company that takes staff development really seriously, where many of our experienced members of staff have come through the ranks as trainees.

What does an apprenticeship involve?

We are looking for dynamic and passionate people who have a full driving license and a car who can come in, roll up their sleevs and really get stuck in
— Wayne Bingham, Kendrick Group Helath and Safety Manager

The successful candidates will be working as either a Brickwork or Carpentry apprentice carrying out all aspects of site brickwork and carpentry from start to finish.  You will be given full ongoing training in-house and onsite, and be provided with a trade specific toolkit, and we pay for you to attend college one day per week too. An example of the very varied day of the Brickwork apprenticeship includes assisting the Bricklayers on-site through labouring and loading bricks, reading drawings, measuring the work area and setting out the first courses, mixing mortar by hand or with a mechanical mixer, laying the bricks and blocks on top of each other and applying mortar with a trowel, cutting and trimming bricks using hammers, bolster, chisels and power tools, checking courses are in line and level using spirit-levels and string lines, adhering to site safety, quality assured workmanship, plus housekeeping and understanding the need for waste management.

How much will I be paid?

A huge advantage of working with Kendrick Homes under our apprenticeship scheme is you will be paid the national minimum wage relating to your age, rather than the traditional apprenticeship wage.
