Kendrick Homes are proud to sponsor Primrose Hospice Birthday Ball as they celebrate 30 years of free care, advice and support to patients living with life limiting illnesses and their families.

Primrose Hospice was set up in 1987 and is celebrating 30 years of service to the community this year with a ’30th Birthday Ball’ at the Holiday Inn Bromsgrove on 29 September.

We have been a supporter of the Hospice for some time and are delighted to announce our involvement at this year’s historic event as main sponsor.

We feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to offer our support to Primrose Hospice. This essential service and the support they provide is exceptional especially when you consider it relies almost solely on charitable donations to deliver their services.

We are looking forward to attending the sell out celebration event later this month and wish them every success for the next 30 years and beyond.

Initially the Hospice was setup to provide a community-based palliative day care service for people with cancer, and the remit was to support adults over the age of 18, living at home with life-limiting illnesses.

Over the past 30 years the services offered by the Hospice have developed as local needs have been identified and the Hospice prides itself on responding dynamically to these local factors and needs.

Helen Briscoe, Chief Executive of Primrose Hospice commented, “We cannot thank the team at Kendrick Homes enough for their continued support, and in particular their very generous donation in respect of our 30th Birthday Ball - we really do appreciate it.

“Here at the Hospice we are currently caring for patients with a wide range of conditions including Cancer, Motor Neurone disease, Cardio-Vascular disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease – and we are also increasingly supporting people with multiple conditions including Dementia.

“The Hospice continues to serve a diverse population of 178,000 people in the districts of Redditch and Bromsgrove in North East Worcestershire and all of our specialist palliative care and family support services continue to be provided free of charge.  We have to raise £1.75m to keep the Hospice open each year and we are very grateful to all of our supporters especially Kendrick Homes.”
